We did both of Lucky and Lost's Tours : the Wine Tasting and Cape Peninsula. These are the ideal tours for those looking for something less commercial, with real insights and tips, discovery of enterprises and individuals trying to make a difference in their communities,...More
I selected Lucky and Lost Tours for an all day tour of Capetown because it was a small tour company and the tour sounded interesting. It was my first time as a solo traveler and our guide David did a great job interacting with everybody...More
We covered a lot of ground. We wandered in Bo-Kaap, walked out to the beach to see penguins, ate lunch at the cape with unexpected guests (baboons), did a lovely scenic hike and then topped it off with a wine tasting. Our guide was a...More

WHATS OUR STORY?
BY TRAVELLERS, FOR TRAVELLERS
We want you to experience Cape Town with all of your senses
Lucky and Lost was started by two backpackers who are passionate about traveling and people, but ‘hate’ tours in the traditional sense!
We realized that our most memorable travel experiences were with locals who showed us the best places to go, how to experience them and the friends we made along the way.
We want to provide the same experience for other travellers in our home town.
That’s why we do things a little differently …
CAPE TOWN WINE TOUR
We have had to taste A LOT of wine but it was worth it!
We have curated a wine tour that showcases 4 completely different wine farms and most importantly shares the stories behind the people that make the Cape and its grapes so unique. We visit farms in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek but our best part is enjoying a 3 course South African lunch surrounded by a majestic mountain range in the quirky garden of a local legend!
